Newly-promoted senior Guyana Defence Force (GDF) officers on Monday received their new badges of rank at a simpColonel Raul Jerrick being decorated by his wife and Army Chief-of-Staff, Brigadier Patrick Westle ceremony held at the Officers Club at Base Camp Ayanganna, Georgetown.Chief-of-Staff Brigadier Patrick West issued Colonel Raul Jerrick with his new badge of rank and was ably assisted by the Colonel’s wife. The remaining officers’ badges were handed over by commanding officers and branch heads of the GDF.Brigadier West congratulated the officers and encouraged them to continue their good works. He pointed out that the demands of the Force on the officers tended to make for some difficulties from time to time.
